# Using MCP with Claude Code

Connect Claude Code to Crush and your AI assistant can query indicators, explore setup templates, and run backtests conversationally.

1. In Claude Code, add the Crush MCP server to your configuration (Settings → MCP servers).
2. Authenticate with your Crush account when prompted.
3. Ask away: *"Which setup templates have the highest sample size?"* — *"Backtest this pattern over the last three years."* — *"What are current conditions on the major markets?"*

The assistant reads from the same engine as the app — same data, same receipts, same honesty rules.

MCP is optional and aimed at power users; nothing in the app requires it. See [Crush for AI Agents](/documentation/features/mcp-integration.md) for what's exposed.
